The much anticipated South Island Secondary School netball tournament took place last week in Invercargill with our team returning as winners of the C Grade competition.

On Monday, the INZONE Careers Coach, sponsored by Mayors Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ), will visit Twizel Area School. The coach contains 26 Careers Kiosks showcasing hundreds of current careers and training videos.

Elizabeth Brophy and Louie Skinner visited TAS on Wednesday afternoon, to share the details of their trip to London with the Shakespeare Globe Centre NZ Young Shakespeare Company, talking to both the Senior Drama class, and Room 5. 🎭

This year, Twizel Area School has a 9 person band entered into the Online Rock Shop Band Quest competition.

On Thursday last week Twizel Area School hosted Tori Campbell a representative of Te Runaka o Moeraki. This is all part of our journey towards our new school build and our Cultural Narrative.

Thirteen students (across Years 4-8) competed in the North Otago Primary School Cross Country in Oamaru this week. Congratulations to everyone who ran; you did yourselves and your school very proud. Ka pai! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃🏼‍♂️

Our senior netballers have been taking on teams from the rest of the South Island at this week's Secondary Schools Tournament in Invercargill. Congratulations to the girls on some fantastic results so far. 🏐

Who could have imagined that taking 5-year-olds skiing would turn out to be such a brilliant idea? Well, Room 4 did, and what an incredible day it turned out to be! ⛷️🎿🏂

Last week, Room 9 students enjoyed some Kitchen Science fun when they were gifted a cookbook by parent Mel Schauer. Who knew so much fun could be had?

Snow Club has started for the 2023 season. Even though there hasn't been the amount of snow we hoped for, students (and staff) have had a great time at the Ōhau Ski Fields. ⛷️🎿

This week saw staff across the school working with our architects for the new school to develop the internal design of the building.
