Head Student Louie Skinner has news about the Sheilah Winn competition in Wellington and the National Area Schools Tournament.

Kia ora and welcome back everyone to Week Five, already halfway through Term 2! I don’t know about you but to me, it seems like time is flying by.

Things at school have fallen back into place after the exciting Area Schools Tournament, which was now 2 weeks ago. It’s time to get back into school work and studying. Teams are still practising for nationals which is happening in week one of the July school holidays. Plans are already being made on how to fundraise for this year's South of the South team.  Netball and Basketball players are of course still giving all they have in the local competitions.

A few students from the drama group are heading off to Wellington this week to take part in the national Sheilah Winn competition. Nerves are running high but they are looking forward to what is sure to be another awesome experience. Thank you to all the teachers who have put in the hours to make this year’s trip possible. (That includes the amazing costumes made by Mrs Schaar. And the set window from Mr Van M, Thank you!) And another thank you to anyone who has donated props toward the performance.

The weather is turning cold as we move into winter, so make sure to bring Kai wrapped in tinfoil, for the Kai warmer to have nice hot lunches.
