As part of being year 5/6 leaders, our students will aid the transition for our kindy tamariki this year. Room 7 teacher Melissa Neill has developed a program to ease the transition from preschool to primary school for our Year 5 and 6 students and provide valuable support to incoming preschoolers. Each week, Room 7 students head to Kindy to spend time with their buddies and build relationships! As their buddy graduates preschool, starts school, and navigates their first break times, their big buddy will support them through the transition. This is an excellent opportunity for learning new skills, developing friendships, and building our sense of community.We are so excited for our new friends to start!
