Last week, M1 and M2 ākonga visited Skyscape as part of their learning about power. They learned how they are able to make their own power from their hydro dam. 🔋 💡 Last week M1 and M2 as a part of their renewable energy studies visited Skyscape/the Newlands farm to look at their hydro dam sourced by a nearby spring. They have their own turbines and they are fully off the grid to make their own electricity to supply their skyscape accommodation. It also supplies their farm. It is located on Omahau station, a 6000 acre sheep and beef farm. We got to eat yummy homemade scones Mrs Lindsay made in her coal range oven.
