Just like the rest of the Junior School, the students of Room 5 have embarked on an exciting mathematical journey over the past few weeks, delving deep into the world of fractions. 🧮

Through collaborative problem-solving and the Developing Mathematical Inquiry Communities (DMIC) approach, students have experienced numerous "aha" moments, surprising themselves with their newfound understanding and ability to tackle fraction-related challenges.

The foundation of the students' fraction exploration in Room 5 lies in the DMIC approach. This pedagogical method fosters a supportive and collaborative learning environment, encouraging students to actively engage in mathematical problem-solving. By working in groups, the students have not only strengthened their mathematical skills but also developed important social and communication skills.

The students have taken on various fraction problems, tackling them in groups and applying their knowledge and critical thinking abilities. Through these challenges, they have learned to decipher fraction-related concepts, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. The process of working together has allowed them to exchange ideas, test hypotheses, and build upon each other's understanding.

Ka pai to everyone in Room 5 for their awesome mahi!
