Snow Club has started for the 2023 season. Even though there hasn't been the amount of snow we hoped for, students (and staff) have had a great time at the Ōhau Ski Fields. ⛷️🎿

Each week groups of eager students head to Ōhau to participate in our Snow Club programme. This programme involves a 2-hour lesson and then some time to practice our newly learned skills.

Some of our senior students have the opportunity to earn some NCEA credits while they are up there, as well.  There is also time to hone those ski racing skills, working towards events like the Aoraki Champs (unfortunately cancelled due to weather this year), Upper Clutha Races at Cardrona, Mackenzie Schools Ski Race Day at Roundhill and our High Country Race Day at Ōhau.

It is fantastic to see students also developing those key competencies and our school values, displaying qualities such as resilience, grit, determination and high expectations whilst on the mountain.
