Deputy Head Student Alexandria reviews the last couple of weeks and looks forward to the events coming up, including Maadi Cup and exams. My name is Alexandria Swain, and I am excited to be serving as the Deputy Head Student for 2025 alongside Mackenzie Dunnicliff. We are both incredibly excited for the year ahead and look forward to supporting our school community. This past week has been a busy and exciting one for our senior students! On Wednesday, we enjoyed a fun-filled Pyjama Day alongside a delicious Bake Sale, where plenty of sweet treats were shared. Then on Thursday, we had a valuable Peer Mediation Day, where students learned important skills to help resolve conflicts and support one another.Looking ahead to next week, we have an event that many of us have been eagerly anticipating—the Madi Cup! We are incredibly proud to have Hazel Henderson, Sadie Mason, Kiara Thyne, Lucia Yates, and Jazmine Baikie representing Twizel in this prestigious competition. We wish them the best of luck and hope they bring home some well-deserved awards! Many of you are about to begin your first round of exams, and we want to wish you all the very best of luck! This is an important time, and we know how much effort and dedication you’ve put into your studies. Stay focused, do your best, and remember to take care of yourselves along the way. This week has been a calm and easy-going one for our junior students. With fewer major events on the calendar, they’ve had the chance to focus on their learning while enjoying a more relaxed pace. It’s been great to see them making the most of their time in class and around the school!A big thank you to everyone for your hard work and enthusiasm this week. Whether you’ve been studying for exams, preparing for competitions, or simply making the most of school life, your efforts don’t go unnoticed.Nga Mihi,Alexandria SwainDeputy Head Student
