On Monday, 2nd December, the Twizel town square buzzed with excitement as the Twizel Area School Options Class hosted their Market Day. The event was not only a fun-filled day for the community but also an incredible learning opportunity for the students.

From planning their stalls to managing loans and calculating profit margins, the students gained hands-on experience in running a small business.

Collectively, the class borrowed $460 to kickstart their ventures and turned it into an impressive $1175, achieving a net profit of $715! A special mention goes to Lulu Dodds and Melinda Smit, whose stall alone generated an outstanding $450.

Thanks to the day's success, the class was thrilled to donate $180 to the local food bank in addition to the $215 they had already contributed earlier this year.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible – from generous donations to the use of facilities. Your support played a huge role in this fantastic achievement!
