This year Twizel Area School hosts the annual Southern Area Schools (SAS) Tournament from 18th to 20th May. This is an exciting occasion that involves both our students and members of our community. One hundred and fifty students will to Twizel to participate in a variety of sports and cultural events. They represent schools from Roxburgh, Lawrence, Maniototo, The Catlins and Waiau.

As hosts for this event we are required to find billets for 90 of these students.

Billeting involves providing a bed for students on the Wednesday & Thursday nights (all students will bring sleeping bags with them). They will also need an evening meal on the Wednesday & Thursday nights and breakfast on Thursday & Friday mornings.

Students will be involved in activities during the day and on Thursday evening.
