We are proud to announce Monique as not only Twizel Area School's first Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) representative, but the sole entry from TAS this year.

Monique is seen here discussing with Regan (Young Enterprise Scheme Coordinator and mentor) about her preparations for her upcoming 'Pitch'. This will be where she presents her business proposal to a panel. This 'pitch' is part of the assessed process. Monique is both our first TAS representative in the YES program and the sole entry this year from TAS.

Monique has independently researched the market for her proposal and started the process of putting together her product. Monique has a keen interest in Art and identified that there could be a market for a single brush with multiple interchangeable brush heads. Monique has at this stage completed a potential market survey, established how she can produce the base handle herself and contact potential producers of how to make the components she can't yet make herself.

Participating in the YES program enables a student to access mentorship and get to 'practice' their entrepreneurial interests. The YES program has both a dedicated support person (Regan) and also a regional support person from the SC Chamber of Commerce.

Great mahi, Monique. Congratulations!
