After a false start the previous day due to the Lindis Pass being closed, we finally made it to Cardrona for an early start. The day began with perfect weather as we crossed the Lindis. The competition kicked off with Elizabeth, Izzy, and Pippa, followed by the upper primary team of Seb, Henry W, Finn, and Immy. Next up, our intermediate team—Arlo, Ollie, and Zavier—charged down the slope, each competitor completing two runs.

At the prizegiving, Arlo, Zavier, and Ollie claimed first place in the intermediate section, and Immy received a well-deserved sportsmanship award for braving the snow the day before, when the rest of the team was stuck in Twizel. For many of our skiers, this was their first time at a major ski resort, which can be both overwhelming and exciting as they explore new terrain.
