Head Student Kiara Thyne looks back on the last couple of weeks, plus has news of upcoming Nationals fundraisers. Please support our students get to Invercargill! Kia ora koutou, I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend during the King's birthday. We’ve had a very busy past few weeks here both in and outside of school. Both our girls and boys basketball teams travelled to Timaru recently where we faced much harder competition than what we are used to here in Twizel. I want to congratulate all who went, for competing and for displaying and upholding our values.Myself and other year 11 to 13 students had the pleasure of attending formal last Friday. It was such a fantastic and well organised event. I want to thank specifically the formal committee who spent hours organising and planning and Mrs Saunders, Chelsea and Missy who gave up much of their time to make sure the event came together so well. Students on the Nationals team have been busy fundraising for their trip away in July recently, so look out for any upcoming fundraisers and please support us if you can! We have delicious cookies and croissants for sale through our RaiseIt page, and a Junior Matariki Disco planned for 24th June! Kiara Thyne,Head Student
