Deputy Head Student Mackenzie Dunnicliff introduces herself and looks forward to what will be a very busy Term One at TAS. We kicked off Term 1 with the TAS Swimming Sports, and it was fantastic to see so many students getting involved. Congratulations to Ōhau for taking first place with 181 points, followed by Ruataniwha in second with 157, and Pūkaki in third with 138. A massive thank you to all the seniors who stepped up to support students who were less confident in the pool—it was great to see such teamwork and encouragement.Next up, we’re looking forward to seeing the results from our Year 5-13 Athletics Day. The Junior School is also taking part in a colouring competition, which will be judged as soon as possible—so keep an eye out for the winners!For our seniors, the planning for the Year 11-13 Formal is well underway, and we’ll have more details to share in the next newsletter. It’s an exciting time, and we can’t wait to reveal what’s in store!Looking ahead, the school rowing season will soon begin, with training kicking off before we head into the regatta season. This all leads up to the Maadi Cup at Lake Karāpiro in late March, where we hope to see some incredible performances from our rowers.Also, don’t forget to support the Year 5/6 Camp Fundraiser this Friday at lunchtime!
