Classes enjoyed a Te Wiki o te Reo Māori Treasure Hunt on Taonga | Tuesday, with the aim for ākonga to learn some new words and a Whakataukī. Miss McAuley put up words around the school and some simple instructions in Te Reo Māori. Our ākonga worked the instructions out and found the word clue. At the end they had written out a Whakataukī. Their next job was to find out what it meant. Our ākonga could recognise some of the words so off to google they went to work out the rest. The Whakataukī was "Me mahi tahi tātou mō te oranga o te katoa" Which means "We should work together for the wellbeing of everyone".
