Academic and Arts Captain, Lily Brophy, has news from the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival and a few reminders.

Good Morrow everybody,

We are now well into week 6 of Term 2! All of my fellow NCEA students should be collecting credits and studying hard now that we’re in the second half of the term.

Last week we sent our Shakespeare trio up to Wellington to perform at the SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival. Monique, Louie and I travelled up to the North Island with Mr Potter, Mrs Potter and Mrs Sweney where we took part in workshops and performed our piece from Twelfth Night. We won three great awards and had a wonderful time meeting new people and getting lost in Wellington East Girls High School. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Potter and Mrs Sweney for giving us this unforgettable opportunity.

Also, as you’ll know, a lot of teachers are away at the moment so I hope everyone is cooperating and looking after the ones we are lucky to have here.

Have a good rest of the week and weekend!
