Pink Shirt Day Aotearoa and Bullying Free NZ Week were celebrated at Twizel Area School last week - our learning focus was 'Being an Upstander'. Thank you to everyone who supported the learning across the school. Our Year 1-6 students shared their learning with parents at the Junior Assembly on Friday. One of the resources used with our younger students was Oat the Goat (oatthegoat.co.nz) - families might like to look at this at home.On Friday, Pink Shirt Day was very well supported. For us, we focussed on Tuakana-Teina relationships. Our Year 7-10 learners led 2 activities with our Y1-6 learners. The first was the creation of our MASSIVE Chain of Positivity, displayed along the corridors of the school for all to see! Check out the video here. The second was a chalk art activity, sharing messages of positivity with our community. Thanks to students and staff for making our week amazing!
