Twizel Area School Athletics Day was held on Tuesday and what a hot day it was! Students from Room 4 and above competed in a variety of events on the track and off.

Students compete in Under 11, Under 12½, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 19. Students in Year 7 and above are then selected to compete at Country High Schools Athletics held in Fairlie early next month. In next week's newsletter, we will be able to announce who has been selected to represent TAS.

Athletes can collect points for their house by participating as well and placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an event.

The winning house on the day was:

• Ōhau: 604 points
• Ruataniwha: 547 points
• Pukaki: 353 points

It was a fantastic day and it was great to see all our students out there participating.
