We welcomed the St John in Schools programme to Twizel Area School this week. Ākonga in Years 1-8 have learned things including how to make an emergency call and how to perform effective CPR. 🚑 The programme has been developed with expertise from ACC, SafeKids Aotearoa, Civil Defence, CORE Education and St John and supports today’s school curriculum.

The ASB St John in Schools programme aims to develop confident young Kiwi kids who care for the health and wellbeing of their communities. The sessions deliver positive learning experiences to empower children to prevent injuries and respond to emergencies.

St John is committed to strengthening resilience and improving health and wellbeing in our community and recognise that children of all ages could make a life-saving difference in an emergency.

They visit schools across New Zealand training pre-school, primary and intermediate school-aged children to be clever little lifesavers.
