Head Student Billy has some reminders about tomorrow's School Fun Run, Labour Day, and the forthcoming NCEA Exams.

Kia ora,

Welcome back to another week at Twizel Area School. Flowing into Term 4, everything has been going smoothly for all in our community. Today, we had a ‘Shake Out’ earthquake drill. It is great to see the school educating our students on the importance of knowing what to do during an earthquake. Especially due to our geological situation, which strongly suggests that everyone living in the area should be prepared.

Tomorrow, we have a school Fun Run. This event is where our students can run (or walk) while coming together as a school and having fun. This is fundraising for the new school, so I would implore everybody to get involved and participate. You can still register your child here: https://app.schoolfundraising.co.nz/users/sign_up

Remember that the 23rd of October is Labour Day, so do not come to school next Monday. Regarding Labour Day, good luck and have fun to everyone participating in Hard Labour Weekend! This is a wonderful annual community event, which is always entertaining to see.

That’s all happening this week, everyone; continue studying hard for your exams!
