As part of Te wiki o te reo Māori, our Kapa Haka group has visited the Market Place each lunchtime this week and performed a range of waiata, including Tū Tonu Rā - our school waiata, as well as a range of other popular waiata that we have been learning. Karatī and Mrs Sweney have supported us in this. The beautiful weather has meant that we have had a range of different people listen in - including many of the people enjoying our local eateries. This has been a way for us to promote the Maori language in a positive and relaxed environment.Ka pai to everyone!
