Ākonga in Room 8 have had a busy start to the term that has included finishing their coding work, welcoming a new class member and learning about the ANZACs! 🤖 🤗 🇳🇿

Room 8 students finished the last term doing some Coding around Easter activities. They had to create their code(instructions) and then test them out using the large grid on the courts. This was a great opportunity to test out the instructions that they had written and identify what they would change next time (debug).

Since the start of the term, we have welcomed Aurora into Room 8. We completed some math measurement activities to make number chains to represent numbers showing place value. Some very accurate cutting out and making the chains!

ANZAC is another learning focus and we started on Monday by reading a book called The ANZAC Biscuit Man. They also got to taste an ANZAC biscuit and try to work out the ingredients like 'Master Chef'. The general consensus was they are YUM! They have learnt what you can make with a few ingredients and were given the challenge to try and make them at home themselves.
