Head Student Ralph Henderson looks forward to next week's School Production of Seussical Jr. and the fundraising events for the upcoming National Area Schools Tournament in Te Awamutu.

I hope you are all well; we have begun week seven of the term and are now in the busy part of the school year.

Our drama students and junior classes are well underway with the development of this term's school production, Seussical the Musical. It’s great to see many students with a passion for performing , something I hope continues to be a way for our students to express themselves. We hope to see you all soon and ready to enjoy the performance.

National area schools tournament preparation is well underway, and many fundraising events are planned to help get our sporting stars up north to Te Awamutu during these holidays. This Sunday, our team heads off for a group practice with the rest of the Southern Area Schools team.

On Thursday the 13th, we have two teams competing in the Aoraki basketball tournament; this provides the chance for our students to compete against other schools and make a name for ourselves. Best of luck to all the students involved!

Last week a group of students were given the chance to meet with Mackenzie District Council members to discuss ways they think the community could be improved. This was a great way for student input to be heard, and some great points were raised .

That’s all from me for this week, Wishing a great rest of the well for you all! Take care.
