Next week is Twizel Area School's Outdoor Education Week for 2022. All the details you require can be found here...

Here we are again, at the end of yet another epic year of adventures, struggles and good times. One thing we do every year, here at Twizel Area School, is to finish the year off with a bang! Outdoor Education Week 2022 is set to provide our ākonga with experiences and opportunities that many places can't provide. We are exceptionally lucky to have access to some of the best outdoors that Aotearoa can offer.

On Monday 5th December, our annual Outdoor Education Week will start. We will divide the Middle School into six teams and establish team leaders to help guide the teams around the myriad of challenges on offer.

School will start and finish at the normal time for the duration of the week. Buses will function.

The aims of the week include:

  • fostering leadership, teamwork and responsibility
  • giving opportunities to try new recreational experiences and develop new skills
  • develop problem solving skills in a variety of contexts
  • enjoy the outdoors - especially around the Twizel area
