The Middle School Gaming Option students took part in an e-sports tournament, part of the Rocket League, last weekend in Invercargill. Read Indie and Isabella's thoughts on their experience, plus where our teams placed in the tournament.

Last weekend 9 tamariki went down southland Invercargill to compete in a video game competition called Rocket league lead by Your Corps. Mrs McGifford and Bevan Newlands were the ones who organized the trip to compete. It was held in ILT Stadium. The students and teachers left on Friday the 6th and came back on the 8th. On Saturday 9 am the competition started and ended around 10 pm. It was a long day for everybody. Each team competed with 3 other teams to figure who were in the top ten. Unfortunately none of Twizel teams got into the semi-finals and finals.

There were three teams representing Twizel Area School. They were, Twizel League, Twizel Tornados, and Twizel Twizzlers. The Twizel Twizzlers got 16th place, Twizel League got 21st, and Twizel Tornados got 19th. All the teams had a great time and enjoyed the experience.
