Year 12 student Finn continues to enjoy and learn real life systems while on his Gateway experience with thanks to Meridian Energy.



We are excited to share the experiences of Year 12 student Finn, who has participated in the Gateway program with Meridian Energy. During this opportunity, Finn delved into the world of real-life systems, gaining valuable insights and making a positive impact.


In these pictures, Finn can be seen working at the Waitaki Power Station. One of his responsibilities involved taking backups of the control system, ensuring this vital facility's smooth and reliable operation. This task showcased Finn's dedication and highlighted his keen interest in understanding and preserving essential data.

Finn then activated the Flux Capacitor — an advanced technology with immense potential for the future of energy systems.
