Head and Deputy Students, Billy and Fred, have a roundup of the last week of term, plus a look forward to Term Two.

Kia ora,

We hope everyone is having a great week so far, I’m sure most are getting super excited about the holidays. Despite the encroaching holidays, we still have a lot going on at school, with more to come next term. On the Monday of the first week back of Term Two we will have a Wellbeing Day for years 7-10 where parents are more than welcome to come along, and we will also be starting sport practices for different sports for years 11-13 for the SAS Tournament, that will be happening in week three of the next term.

On Monday of this week, the school had a non-uniform day for the Young Enterprise Students with someone coming from Otago University to talk to all the year 12-13 students of whom are interested in going to Otago Uni once they have finished school. On Tuesday of this week all of the school and community gathered at the Marae to celebrate all of the successes of all the students that took part in the Maadi Cup in the North Island at Lake Karāpiro. And finally to finish off this term we have the junior, middle and senior school end-of-term assemblies on Thursday.

That is all for this term, for all the students and teachers we hope you have a very relaxing and wonderful break to come back to smash out term 2. And for the parents ‘good luck!’ We’re sorry we have to hand your kids back over to you but don’t be too stressed because before you know it the holidays will be over and your kids will be back at school.
