Deputy Head Student Mackenzie wraps up Term 2 and looks forward to the new term beginning on July 14th. Kia Ora and welcome to the last week of Term 2!How the time has absolutely flown by. It’s hard to believe we are already at the end of the Term. Over the past nine weeks we have had some amazing events and milestones that have made this term special for many students.Term 2 Highlights:We had so many students go away to represent our school at the Southern Area Schools Tournament, and everyone did amazing, with 13 students heading off to represent us at Nationals in Invercargill. We are all cheering you on and wishing you the best of luck! We also had 48 students attend an unforgettable night at the Twizel Bowling Club for our year 11-13 formal. Everyone looked amazing, especially as it was snowing when we were being picked up.We have Junior and Senior assemblies this week, the Junior assembly is on Wednesday, the 25th, at 2:15 pm, and the Senior assembly is on Friday, the 27th at 2:00 pm.Looking ahead at Term 3, we are excited to see the return of joy in many students as they head up to Ōhau for Snow Club. Currently, in the works are some very exciting House competitions that we are planning and are super excited for everyone to get involved in next term. During the break, I hope everyone catches up on rest that I’m sure is well needed. If you are travelling, stay safe on the roads as we all know that driving at this time of year is sometimes less than ideal, but, most importantly, have heaps of fun!Nga Mihi,Mackenzie DunnicliffDeputy Head Student
