Miss Neill’s M2 homeroom took on the famous Marshmallow Challenge—a hands-on activity where students worked in teams to build the tallest freestanding tower using spaghetti, tape, and one marshmallow.

While the challenge sparked plenty of laughter and creativity, it also tied into our current learning focus: friendship and connection. Through collaboration, communication, and a bit of trial and error, students discovered how trust, shared leadership, and positive relationships are just as important in the classroom as they are in friendships. It’s all part of our wider curriculum goal to strengthen teamwork and whanaungatanga across subjects.
