TAS students competed in the Aoraki Ski Champs last week. However, the competition was cut short due to the high winds!

The Aoraki Champs were held on Monday the 12th August at Mt Dobson.  This event draws schools from Ashburton to Waimate and everywhere in between.  It is an event for students in years 7 -13 and is very competitive.  This year the event started off with a bang but quickly fizzled out when the wind became a problem bringing some students on the race slope to a standstill in some very strong gusts.  The event was called off with only a few racers not getting their first run in before the mountain closed.

Our students looked good and were definitely in the running for some good results had the event continued.

We look forward to showing our skills next year......
