Students in M4 have been taking part in the Work Ready Program this term, learning about applying for work, workers' rights, and more. This week they went to Top Hut in Twizel to learn about work in the hospitality industry. 👩‍🍳 🍽️ ☕️

By participating in the Work Ready Program, students are gaining valuable knowledge and skills that will better prepare them for their future careers. The programme equips them with the tools they need to navigate the job market successfully and fosters an understanding of their worker rights and responsibilities. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance their employability and empower them to make informed decisions as they enter the workforce.

At Top Hut they learned about all aspects of the industry, including waiting on tables. They also tried their hand at making hot chocolate and pizza...the best part, of course, was being able to eat what they made! 🍕

Thanks must go to Hannah Beer, the Work Ready Program Coordinator, and Top Hut in Twizel. Work Ready is an awesome program helping our rangatahi with the next stage of their lives.
