On Monday, two of our Year 13 students travelled to Dunedin to be part of the Otago Tertiary Day, taking the opportunity to look at the courses on offer and to get an inside working view of the Otago University, Otago Polytechnic and the Halls of Residence. Jack and Ralph spent the day visiting the Sports Science Department at the Otago Polytechnic, The PE, Health and Nutrition Department at Otago University, a tour around Knox College, Salmond College, Unipol and the Clubs Societies Expo in the Student Union.This was a very eye-opening and inspiring visit for these two year 13 students. Some of the highlights of their trip were getting to be a part of an experiment at the PE department where they had to jump on a force plate and see the experiment into head impacts. They also enjoyed seeing the Halls of Residence, and they likened Knox College to Hogwarts.
