Starting at 1:30 pm, students will take to the track in their bright white clothing, ready to be splashed with vibrant colours as they run, laugh, and enjoy the day! Parents are warmly invited to join the fun and cheer on their little ones. Don’t forget to set up your child’s fundraising page to make the most of this colourful celebration! Let’s make it a day to remember, full of smiles, energy, and lots of colour!

1st November | UW Athletics (Yr4-8)

TAS is thrilled to host the Upper Waitaki Athletics for Year 4-8 students, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship! Students in Years 4-6 will be provided with red tops, while those in Years 7-8 will wear their grey PE uniforms. The day kicks off with events starting at 10 am sharp, followed by the exciting finals and relays at 1:30 pm. We are on the lookout for parents who are available to help run the events or chaperone groups around. Your support will make the day even more successful! Let’s come together to make it a fantastic day of athletics and fun!

8th November | Junior Athletics (Yr1-3)

Waitaki Valley School in Kurow will be hosting the Year 1-3 Junior Athletics on 8th November, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting day full of fun and energy! While we are still awaiting detailed information about how the day will unfold, we know it will be packed with a variety of athletic skills, including running, jumping, and throwing events. We will be asking police-vetted parents to assist with transporting our students to the event. Stay tuned for more details, and get ready for a day of sportsmanship and skill-building for our youngest athletes!

17th November | Pool Approx Opening

The 2024 swimming season is set to begin around 17th November, and the teachers are working together to deliver an exciting and engaging swimming program for the students! Starting from 17th November, children will need to bring their togs and towel each day for their lessons. Once the timetable is confirmed, we will be looking for parent volunteers to help with the sessions. Get ready for a fun and active season in the pool as we help the students develop their swimming skills and water confidence!
