Leadership camp is a great opportunity offered to help students gain an understanding of what leadership means. It took place during the recent holiday and involved a week long trip to Wainui in the Akaroa harbour. Students were invited to apply to go and during an interview they demonstrated a willingness to push outside their comfort zone and take on some form of leadership on return to school. It was a week of adventure with each student joining a group of students from other Area Schools around New Zealand; they were put into all sorts of situations which focussed on working as a team and supporting others.
