Last week, a selection of senior students had the exciting opportunity to attend a barista course in Tekapo, where they delved into the world of coffee artistry.


They learned about different coffee beans' intricacies, origins, and unique flavour profiles. The hands-on experience allowed them to master espresso extraction and perfect the technique of milk frothing, leading to the creation of delicious beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos.

Beyond coffee preparation, the students acquired essential skills in equipment maintenance and proper cleaning techniques.

The enthusiasm and dedication shown by our students during this course were truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing these new skills in action at school.
