On Wednesday, 9th April, we gathered as a community to celebrate a truly momentous occasion — the Sod Turning Ceremony to officially mark the beginning of the long-awaited rebuild of our school. It was a day filled with excitement, gratitude, and hope for the future, as staff, students, whānau, Board members, and members of the wider Te Manahuna community came together to witness the first steps of this transformational project. After years of planning, advocacy, and anticipation, it was a powerful and emotional moment to finally see the first sod of earth turned, signalling the start of construction. This rebuild represents much more than new buildings. It symbolises growth, renewal, and a deep commitment to providing the very best environment for our ākonga — now and into the future. The new facilities will better reflect the needs and aspirations of our community, creating modern, flexible learning spaces where every student can thrive. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this journey so far — from the families and staff who have shared their ideas and feedback, to the many individuals who have advocated tirelessly behind the scenes. Your collective efforts have helped bring us to this exciting point. As construction progresses, we look forward to keeping our community updated with regular milestones and news. We can’t wait to see the vision for our new school come to life, and we know that with the continued support of our wonderful community, the best is yet to come.Thank you once again for sharing this special moment with us. Together, we are building a future we can all be proud of.
