The Student Council has news of next week's Non-Uniform Day, as well as their plans for next term, thinking about sustainability and our environment.

The student council has been meeting at lunchtimes, making decisions about a variety of different activities for the students in Twizel Area School. We have many ideas to bring in, in Term Three.

One of the things we have been working on is organising a non-uniform day with a gold coin donation. The money is going to “I Am Hope.” The theme for this non-uniform day is “What I want to be when I grow up.” We chose this theme as we need to look after our Wellbeing now so we can be who we want to be when we grow up and leave school. The date of this is Friday the 23rd of June (next Friday).

We have also been thinking about sustainability and our environment, and how we can keep the school looking good. Early next term, we will be introducing a challenge where House points will be given for which House can collect the most rubbish. We will then have a challenge to see which House can bring the least rubbish to school in our lunchboxes, the week after that.
