On Thursday a vanload of Y9-13 students took part in a Humanities Day in Cromwell with students from our Kāhui Ako schools, aiming to connect students while celebrating the arts.

After ice-breaker activities, teams competed in debating and theatre sports and viewed an art exhibition of NCEA art panels from our schools.

All students represented themselves in ways their communities can be very proud of, including how they interacted with students and staff from other schools.  They prepared well and presented with confidence and skill. Twizel achieved very well in both theatre sports and debating and many favourable comments were made about our art.

This day was our third Humanities Day. It was a great way to connect students with similar interests across our schools and to celebrate public speaking and the arts.
