The Junior Snow Club was invited to compete in the Mackenzie Ski Race Day, organised by Tekapo School, on Thursday 1st September. This event has been 3 years in the waiting, and so good to finally get some action happening. ⛷ We were lucky with the weather and managed to get the day in quite comfortably, with approximately 50 participants, 20 of these from Twizel Area School.We had a number of podium placements, and medals were given out to:Pippa Burke 3rdKendall Jamieson 2ndTui Hurst 3rdImmy Ivey 2ndTallulah received a special certificate for 'Grit and Determination', as she skied the race course twice, with a parent guiding her down by tapping her poles and talking to her; an awesome effort!Please find attached the times for each entrant who raced, as we know many wish to know how they went:2022 Mackenzie Raceday ResultsThanks also to the Round Hill crew who timed and officiated on the day, as well as our fabulous parents providing transportation for our Tamariki.
