Head Student Billy has some sporting updates, as well as a reminder about next week's SISS Non-Uniform Day fundraiser.

Kia ora,

Welcome back to another week at Twizel Area School; I hope everyone is doing well. Work continues unabated as exams come ever closer; remember to keep working hard! While the senior school is working hard for exams, the junior school is learning to love where we live, heading out on ice skating trips at Tekapo Springs; Room 13 had their trip on Tuesday this week, and Room 8 is heading out today, have fun out there!

Where better to learn WAKA values than on a sports court? It provides the perfect space for some friendly competition and companionship. Therefore, it is great to see many sporting activities taking place. Yesterday and today, the NettyFest in Oamaru has taken place, this is an opportunity for years 5-8 to play some netball with those around them; I hope everyone played hard and fair, representing the school with pride. Also taking place today is the Aoraki Badminton in Timaru, where our learners will represent our school in a competitive environment. Kia Kaha!

A reminder for the SISS fairytale non-uniform day happening Thursday next week, make sure to support our netball players! And with that, there is nothing much else to say. Seniors, for exams, work hard, it’s worth it.

Kia pai tō wiki!

Head Student, Billy.
