A Bit About Us

We operate as a club separate from the school and play in the Oamaru competition. 

We are growing in numbers each year. 🙂 Last season, we had 5 Friday afternoon teams and 2 Saturday teams. Yrs 3-8 play on Friday afternoons, and yr 9+ play on Saturdays. 

We transport most children in vans to Oamaru, but some parents also take children. We do require some parents to be van drivers. 

The Year 3 and 4 team last year was transported by parents mostly. 

For the Friday Afternoon Teams

The season starts Fri, 2nd May, and goes through till Fri, 29th August.

Yr3 and 4s play five a side, Yr5-8 play seven aside. 

Years 7 and 8 are likely to be mixed, and trials will be held to determine teams.

We leave school at 1 pm on a Friday afternoon. Last year, the school board permitted us to be included as school attendance. We have a growing number of boys playing in these age groups. 

For the Saturday Teams

The season starts on Saturday, 3rd May, and goes through till Saturday, 30th August. There will be trials held to determine the teams. 

North Otago Reps

There is an opportunity for yr9+ to try out for the rep teams. 

Yr7-8, there is an opportunity to take part in the North Otago development program in July. For more information on this, get in touch with the club.

Transport is a huge cost to us, so some fundraising is often required. This helps keep the subs low.

2025 subs – we are excited to keep them the same as last year despite North Otago putting their fees up: 

• Yr3-4 $40
• Yr5-8 $80
• Yr9+ $100
