With Winter now upon us, it's Cross Country season. Check out the details here. Twizel Area School Whole School Cross CountryCross Country for the whole school will be on Tuesday 25th July, starting at 1.30 pm. The Cross Country Track will be located down at the Twizel River and students will walk in classes to the top of the river track.To direct and supervise children, senior students and parent helpers will be located around the running track.Students will run in their age groups and be separated into Boys and Girls. The top 6 students from each age group will be selected to compete at the Upper Waitaki Cross Country in Omarama on Monday, 31st July.If parents are wishing to attend Cross Country, we ask that you park along Glen Lyon Road and do not block the entrance to the River Track.If you are willing to help Marshall along the track, please put your name down at the School Office.Upper Waitaki Cross Country | Omarama Year 1-8Monday, 31st July - Omarama Sale Yards The top 6 students from each age group will be attending - results pending from TAS Cross Country. There will be baking and sausages available for purchase.Race Distances Year 0-3 1200 mYear4-6 2000 mYear 7-8 2500 m Notices for this event will come out directly after the TAS Cross Country. Students will be transported via School vehicles and parent transport.A reminder that parents need to be police Vetted to transport other students. If you wish to be Police Vetted, complete the form here and return it to the School Office.
