The players (the word for actors in William Shakespeare's time) of M2 performed adaptations of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar last Thursday. 🎭

In the lead up to the show, Mr Van M donned a set of Lorica Segmentata and became a Roman Centurion to send us back to Ancient Rome and prepare himself for judging the plays. Charlotte Saunders joined him as a judge, and students, teachers, families and friends filled the seats of the theatre.

The students had a great time performing their plays, and some of the highlights for me were Felix's dance moves, Andre's makeshift ambulance and the fact that after receiving so many threats of non-attendance, pretty much the entire cast showed up. Troy's powerful performance of Caesar was a standout and won him best actor, which came as no surprise since he had committed his many lines to memory. The best dramatic death went to Stevie the Unicorn Caesar, doused in her own rainbow confetti blood.

It was a fantastic day and thank you to those of you who came along to see the performances.
