After bringing Touch Rugby back into school last year we now have a large mixed team of talented players ranging from year 8-13. This season we have entered a Twizel Area School team into the newly formed Twilight Touch comp that is held on Thursday evenings.

Our team is up against seven other teams in this competition. Last week, the team played exceptionally well, winning their first game. Every match presents them with an opportunity to hone their skills, fine-tune their strategies, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the power of teamwork.

We are also fortunate enough to have some new playing kit and equipment to make the team look the part. A big thank you to Te whatu ora for funding this and XCM Timaru for being the suppliers of the training tops and singlets.

Coaches Alison Blanchard, Karatī Metcalfe and Brooke Smith look forward to seeing this team continue to work in action, with sights set on competing at the South Island competition next year.

We would love to see your continued support; feel free to come down to the school fields on Thursday nights to support the team!
