We are pleased to share that we have received a strong pool of applicants for the Principal position. As we begin the screening and interview process, we will be working with Neil Wilkinson, an external consultant, who will provide expert guidance throughout.

Below is some information about Neil:

Neil is an education consultant based in Rangiora. He retired from Principalship after 10 years leading Amuri Area School from 2005 to 2015, and before that was at Pleasant Point High School, where he ended up as Principal in 2004 with the enviable task of closing the school after a government review of South Canterbury education provision. 

Since retiring, Neil has facilitated over 62 Principal appointments, including Rai Valley Area School, Murchison AS, Cheviot AS, Oxford AS, South Westland AS, Mackenzie College, TGHS, TBHS, Mountainview High, Geraldine High, Burnside High and many more.  From 2011 to 2015, Neil was President of the Canterbury West Coast Secondary Principals Association and was Executive Officer for the same group from 2015 to 2021.
