This week, the students of Room 5 had an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Jenny Heng, a local resident of Twizel who works as an engineer at BECA. Jenny served as our esteemed Wonder Project STEM ambassador, guiding us through our first practical session.🚀

The focus of this session was to explore the impact of varying amounts of water and air pressure (PSI) on the flight distance of our plastic bottle rockets.

As we move forward, our next objective is to enhance the rocket's flight trajectory and ensure they travel in a straight line. To achieve this, we engage in a comprehensive design process. Within their respective groups, all students assume different roles, including the Safety Officer, the Chief Scientist, and the Engineer. This division of responsibilities allows each student to actively contribute and develop essential skills.

By involving Jenny Heng and implementing a collaborative approach, we aim to create an engaging and enriching learning experience for the Room 5 students as they continue to delve deeper into the wonders of the Wonder Project.
