M2 ākonga visited the Timaru SPCA on Monday as part of their animal welfare topic. You can read Ruby Baikie's reflection here.

On the 26th of February, M2 went to the Timaru SPCA to learn more about animal welfare.

We got to see dogs and cats. Some of them were boarding there, which means when the owners are away, they can go to the SPCA until the owners get back. I learnt that the kittens had to be in quarantine so the vets could check they were healthy, but if they were sick, they had to get put in a different room, or else they would have gotten all the other kittens sick.
