Head and Deputy Students, Billy and Fred, roundup this week's Athletics Day and look forward to the start to the Middle School camps. 🏃🏼‍♂️🏕️

Kia ora,

What a wonderful few weeks it has been here at school, we have had so many students participating and showing WAKA values, it has been great to see!

On Tuesday 21st, we had the TAS athletics. This was an excellent opportunity for people to connect with others and show some friendly sportsmanship among peers. But, with all competitions, there has to be a winner. So, congratulations to Ohau who won the Athletics with a crushing 57-point lead over Ruataniwha’s 547 points.

The final placements were:

  • Ōhau: 604 points
  • Ruataniwha: 547 points
  • Pukaki: 353 points.

Don’t worry Ruataniwha and Pukaki, there's always next time!😉

Starting on Monday the 27th, we have the M4 camp coming up. This will run until the Friday of that week (3rd March). I look back on the middle school camps fondly, they were always great opportunities to push yourself and connect with others. I'm sure the camps are still fun times with plenty of opportunities for the students to express and learn the WAKA values. Good luck, have fun, and Kia Kaha all those going on the M4 camp.

Have a good week everyone.
