TAS Students Shine at North Otago

The North Otago Athletics were held this week at Centennial Park in Oamaru with Twizel Area School students producing some amazing results. A massive thank you to Bevan Newlands and the parents who attended with tamariki.

The New Zealand Secondary School Photography Competition is thrilled to announce the fourth year of its competition! 📷 The competition will see year 9 to year 13 students submit up to three unique photos to be adjudicated by a panel of the Photographic Society of New Zealand's accredited judges.

Sun Comes Out for Junior Athletics

Room 13 Aoraki Paintings

Leading up to last week's Aoraki Mount Cook trip, ākonga in Room 13 were lucky enough to welcome Claudia into their class. 🏔️ She helped the students learn some key painting skills, including how to use the colour wheel and mixing colours. 🎨

Weather Shortened Camp is Worth the Wait

Ākonga from M2 and M3 headed off on camp last week after weather conditions had shortened and delayed their trip. 🏕️ 🌦️ That didn't dampen their enthusiasm for camp though, after the COVID cancellations earlier in the year!

Room 4 ākonga have been learning about Graffiti Art. 🎨 👩‍🎨 We have been discussing what makes graffiti a piece of art and what makes it vandalism. This has included lots of research and lots of experimenting using bold contrasting colours for effect.

Kura Come Together at Puketeraki Marae

Tamariki Visit Aoraki Mount Cook

On Thursday 17th November, ākonga from Rooms 9 and 13 headed to Aoraki Mount Cook, having been learning about Antarctica and Antarctica's link to Aoraki in class. It was a great day and it sounds like everyone had an awesome time in the National Park.🏔️
