M3 Camp and the South Temple Hut

Aoraki Athletes Compete with the Region's Best

Eight students represented Twizel Area School at the Aoraki Athletics held in Ashburton last week. Schools from around the South Canterbury region as well as Waitaki Boys and Girls and St Kevins come together to compete.

Ugly Shakespeare Entertains TAS Students

Three actors from 'The Ugly Shakespeare Company' performed for the students from Year Five to Thirteen on Wednesday, March 15th. Their play, 'The Dream', was an interpretation of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', with the three actors playing a combination of 15 roles in the 50 minute performance. 🎭

Room 13 Friday Fun

Room 13 students had some Friday fun last week creating different animals out of paper mache (papier-mâché)! They created animals of all kinds including penguins, bunnies, kiwis and snakes! 🐧🐰🐍

TAS Celebrates with Aoraki Mount Cook

Last Friday a group of 22 students travelled to Aoraki Mount Cook School for the opening of their new school. This was a celebration with the local schools from across Te Manahuna, students travelling from as far as Albury. 🏔️

Maadi, Here We Come!

The rowing season continued last weekend with the South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) Regatta and as has been the case all season long, the Twizel crews did not disappoint. With thanks to community members and organisations, they are now planning their trip to the Maadi Cup at Lake Karāpiro.
