Room 4 ākonga have been learning about Graffiti Art. 🎨 👩‍🎨 We have been discussing what makes graffiti a piece of art and what makes it vandalism. This has included lots of research and lots of experimenting using bold contrasting colours for effect.

Kura Come Together at Puketeraki Marae

Tamariki Visit Aoraki Mount Cook

On Thursday 17th November, ākonga from Rooms 9 and 13 headed to Aoraki Mount Cook, having been learning about Antarctica and Antarctica's link to Aoraki in class. It was a great day and it sounds like everyone had an awesome time in the National Park.🏔️

Gold Mining With M4

Ākonga from M4, along with Mr and Mrs Potter visited Cromwell this week, with the aim to deepen students' understanding of the consequences of the 1860’s gold discoveries in Otago. ⛏️ 🌟 Their itinerary was filled with trips to the Cromwell Museum and Goldfields Mining Centre, and they even panned for their own gold! Science Roadshow Comes to Town

The Science Roadshow was in full swing this week, with ākonga from Year 4-10 enjoying the ride. 🧫 🔬 👩‍🔬 Students were able to enjoy lots of hands-on exhibits with themes ranging from astronomy to ecology, the environment, and the human lab.
